A Surprise again
Today i thought of going to UTI Mutual Fund (www.utimf.com) to check one of the scheme's performance. As I reached the Funds page, a Chat pop up came with an agent asking if she can help me. I was surprised, not because someone was offering a helping hand to me, but because innovativeness of the idea. Great Idea!!! Someone coming to your website(website like UTI MF) is going to be a potential customer. By giving a customer agent would be a good idea, in helping him get all the information what is he looking for. This effort will result in better percentage of customer conversion because the person is already interested to know about the product or is already a customer. In either ways, it would be good for you. I am not saying that these are the only people who visit the websites, but the probablity is more.
Only issues I can see is that few people might see it as intrusion to their privacy. Secondly it might not be feasible for the company to provide an agent for every visiting customer.
